Our Mission

Inner Peace & Self-Acceptance is dedicated to fostering personal and collective healing by amplifying voices, sharing wisdom, and breaking down barriers to self-worth. Our mission is to guide listeners toward deeper self-understanding, compassion, and empowerment, creating space for transformation, connection, and lasting inner peace.

Meet The Hosts

Inner Peace & Self-Acceptance is hosted by Maria Lemcool and Jessica Lewis — two mental health and advocacy professionals whose combined experience spans education, counseling, crisis intervention, and survivor-centered advocacy.  Together, they bring decades of lived and professional insight into healing, resilience, and personal growth.

Maria Lemcool is a survivor-centered advocate and counselor with over 18 years of experience supporting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and violent crimes. Her work has focused on crisis intervention, safety planning, legal advocacy, and navigating complex systems to ensure survivors feel protected, heard, and empowered.

Maria has partnered with organizations including YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish, the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Catholic Community Services, the Mexican Consulate in Seattle, and local law enforcement agencies. At the core of her work is a belief that advocacy is not just about services — it’s about restoring dignity, fostering connection, and creating pathways to healing and justice.

Jessica Lewis is an equity-driven mental health professional, counselor, and wellness educator with a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy/Counseling. She brings extensive experience designing and leading Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and trauma-informed mental health frameworks within K–12 settings, while working closely with educators, families, and communities to build inclusive, supportive environments.

Jessica is the founder of Fearless Beginning Life Coach, where she creates culturally responsive wellness resources and facilitates workshops on healthy relationships, boundaries, and emotional well-being for youth and adults. Her work is deeply rooted in compassion, cultural awareness, and evidence-based practices.

Together, Maria and Jessica share a deep commitment to healing that honors both personal experience and professional expertise. Through honest conversations, reflective storytelling, and practical tools, Inner Peace & Self-Acceptance is a space where growth is encouraged, vulnerability is welcomed, and healing is understood as a journey — not a destination.

Their hope is that each episode offers listeners reassurance, empowerment, and a reminder that inner peace and self-acceptance are possible, even in the midst of life’s challenges — and that no one has to walk their healing journey alone.
